This tapestry work is part of my series 'Organic Formations' which has been inspired by oriental origins; Japanese and Chinese paper art and shadowing. 'Golden Begonia' has been created using a papier-mache technique with natural elements such as water and shadowing of the the Begonia plant. I have heightened the organic feeling by using mostly natural materials such as gold leaf, natural fibres and natural dyes such as coffee and tumeric.
